SLM is an adult team of swimmers ranging in ages from 18 to 70-somethings. We are open to anyone interested in fitness or competitive swimming and can swim well enough to feel comfortable in the water.

2010 Barbara Stevens Memorial

The Western Kentucky Green Gators Swim are hosting the Barbara Stevens Memorial Saturday, January 9, in Bowling Green, KY. This first meet of the year is held at the Powell Pool in the Preston Center at Western Kentucky University. The entries are paper only and must be postmarked by January 4 to be considered timely. One Hour Postal National Championship

Entries open on January 1, 2010 for the U.S. Masters Swimming One Hour Postal National Championship. A Sunday practice at University of Louisville will be scheduled for this event, date to be determined. Remember you will be swimming as Swim Kentucky for this event. Click Here for more information.

Fitness Events

There are two on-going fitness event offered by USMS. The 2010 Go The Distance is a comprehensive and fun way to track your yardage for the entire year or any part of it. There is no entry fee. Awards are offered at a cost, if desired. See entry and information at Go The Distance. The other Fitness Event offered is the Check Off Challenge at Check Off. The goal is to complete every pool event offered during the year, completed in meets or practice.

Fitness Logs Available for Members

U.S. Masters Swimming has released a new online service that is available exclusively for our members. Members may now track their swimming and other fitness activities via our new online Fitness Logs (FLOGs) tool. With this exciting new online service, you can log a wide variety of fitness activities such as swim workouts, running, weights and yoga on your flog calendar and track your weekly, monthly and annual totals online.

Members who are participating in the popular "Go The Distance" fitness event will also enjoy the convenience of having the data from their flog automatically included in the monthly event reports
